Software

eLoad software was created by HDS to automate the digital transfer of consignment note data to road construction teams on site. Combined with the HDS visualisation and reporting platform, contractors have a powerful suite of tools to maximise the performance of their road construction sites.

eLoad performs as a materials delivery management system (MDMS), automating the creation of laying records and streamlining the delivery of material to construction sites. eLoad helps to regulate the flow of material to site which reduces thermal segregation, cold spots and pothole creation during the road lifecycle.

How it Works?

  • 01

A digital consignment note (ticket) is created at the point of loading onto transportation.

  • 02

The ticket is sent ahead to the eLoad tablet so that site operatives can see when their material will arrive.

  • 03

Operatives press a button to indicate material has been unloaded and to integrate the ticket information into a laying record.

  • 04

eLoad connects to the HDS cloud to provide contractors and clients real time access to site progress and quality reports.

Visualisation

The HDS visualisation and reporting platform is the first of its kind for asphalt maintenance and construction. All data that is captured during the road construction process is presented dynamically in a GIS format – helping your team grasp an intuitive understanding of how their projects are progressing.

Integrated with Power BI functionality, the platform retains the ability to deliver reports in industry standard formats, but helps contractors see data the way that their clients will eventually when digital data reached pavement management systems.

E-ticketing and Visualization Platform

eLoad which is the HDS Materials Management Delivery System (MMDS) and was designed to gather all the data available from the asphalt plant delivering to site by capturing consignment ticket data. Typical data includes:

  • Plant Name
  • Plant Address
  • Material Description
  • Material Code
  • Material Tonnage
  • Material Dispatch Temperature
  • Time of Dispatch
  • Truck Registration
  • Job Number
  • Consignment Note Number

Ticket data captured through API (or alternative data transfer option) is utilised to:

  • Inform paving crews when material will reach site
  • Facilitate creation of automated laying records
  • Help managers keep track of multiple sites across their networks

As soon as consignment data reaches our server it is immediately sent to the correct project using the designated job number. The data appears on our eLoad tablet as shown below:

When the truck arrives at the paver, the truck location is digitally assigned a geolocation.

The data is then stored on our server to create the site record which is a combination of geolocation and timestamp data for each truck delivery. Sensor systems capture asphalt delivery and rolling temperatures, as well as compaction information.

These multiple data sources are then combined to produce a daily report or combined which over time builds up superior-level intelligence of all asphalt quality assurance within a project or framework.
